When most homeowners first purchased their homes, they planned to have a designated workspace, but none of us planned on completing full work weeks there for months on end. Sliding barn doors are a great way to create the workspace you need with the limited space you have as your disposal. Dens 
You can easily convert your spacious den into a workspace without sacrificing your cozy relaxation area with the help of barn doors. If you, like many homeowners, have an open concept den, you can use barn doors to section off the room when you need peace and quiet to complete your work, or take a conference call. When your workday is done, you can simply slide the doors open, and your workspace is transformed back to a living space. 

Guest Rooms 
With a sliding barn door, you can keep your guest room while still having a functional workspace. Bypass barn doors are a great way to temporarily divide a room and give it a dual function. It’s hard to focus if you feel like you’re in a bedroom, not an office, and you don’t want your guests to see the clutter of a home office when they come for a visit. Installing a barn door to bisect the room allows you to get the best of both worlds, and they allow you to get two rooms worth of function out of one. 

Hidden Office In Closet 
It’s still important to have a designated workspace so that you can shut off at the end of the day, and barn doors can help. If you have a large walk-in closet you can easily convert it into a private home office space. Barn doors with glass inserts are an excellent way to make these small spaces feel less claustrophobic because you can partially shut them or shut them completely and still get a bit of natural light.   

Storage Rooms
Storage rooms like large pantries or mudrooms can become the home office you need with the use of sliding barn doors. You can use barn doors for the entrance to give the space more of a professional feel, but you can also have your home office and still use the space for storage. If you use barn doors to cover up the shelving and stored items, you'll feel like you’re in a designated workspace. Plus, when you’re on a video call with your colleagues, they’ll be commenting on your beautiful barn doors instead of your cluttered storage.
